Changing an account password
You can change the password for any of your accounts using the Users/Passwords section of AccountManager.
If you have set your preferences to show your passwords, you can change your AccountManager password and Master User account password directly from AccountManager's home page. For details, see Showing your passwords in AccountManager.
To change an account password:
- In the AccountManager main window. click Users/Passwords. The Users/Passwords main page appears.
- At the bottom of the page, locate the account whose password you want to change and then click the corresponding Change Password link.
- On the Change Password page, enter the new password and then retype it to confirm.
- Click Change.
Remember that this password is also used to connect to the server via SSH (if applicable) and FTP. Any change to the Master User password affects FTP, SSH and email associated with the Master User name. If you change the password for an FTP, FTP Subdirectory or Master User account, be sure to use the new password when attempting to connect to the server.
